ESCANABA - Spring is here, and for many people this means allergies. According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, asthma and allergies affect one out of five Americans.
"For seasonal allergy people, springtime is often hard because you're just getting all the trees budding, grass is coming in; it's just this assault all of a sudden," said Teresa Frankovich, medical director of Public Health, Delta and Menominee Counties.
Seasonal allergies are typically worse in the spring and fall due to pollen and mold spores in the air.
