West Branch schools will get back a little more than $40,000 of the $155,000-plus spent to clean up a mold outbreak last summer at the middle school.
The West Branch Board of Education unanimously approved a settlement Monday with architect Shive-Hattery and contractor Ryan & Assoc. regarding the mold outbreak which delayed the start of school by a week in August 2010. The outbreak took place in late summer, after the school district upgraded its heating and air conditioning system at West Branch Middle School.
