Milwaukee aldermen said are concerned about mold and damage in foreclosed and vacant homes caused by the flooding.

The city of Milwaukee has between 5,000 and 6,000 vacant and foreclosed homes.

Alderman Michael Murphy said if no one is checking on those properties, mold could start growing aggressively, and if that happens, the city could be forced to condemn them.
