Maumelle has received a $1,200 bill from a firm hired by the city to test Fire Station No. 2 for mold, said Mayor Mike Watson. During the first round of testing, mold was found in the firefighter living quarters of the fire station on Millwood Circle.

Watson said the city has not received the second bill for more follow up testing he authorized to do to the Maumelle District Court area.

“There was no mold found in the second test,” Watson said.

The city is putting together a mold mitigation plan for Fire Station No. 2.
