Late in July, Stanley Steemer Carpet Cleaner in Maryland Heights received a telephone call from Jennings resident Diane Young.

"She was having problems with mold in her house," Stanley Steemer Restoration Manager Marty Kelly said. "And she said straight out that she couldn't pay for it. She is a senior citizen and didn't have the money."

That's when Kelly and other employees decided to start a community-service program and began with Young. One of Kelly's first calls was to Tom Constantin, owner of the Dellwood-based American Air and Mold Specialists.
