Commission members voted unanimously Tuesday to hire Hill & Jangaard Architects to assist the county in determining what it will cost to renovate the Colbert County Office Complex.
Mold was discovered in the offices that house the county board of education, which has since relocated to another office building near Northwest-Shoals Community College.
Terry Painter, a Decatur-based environmental consultant who conducted an assessment of the building, gave commissioners a rough estimate that could exceed $1 million.
