A foreclosed home was left vacant about three months ago in La Pine. Since then mold has been growing and meat has been rotting. Neighbors say it's only gotten worse since the weather has warmed up.
From the street you can see hundreds of flies in this La Pine home that's now foreclosed on. "Flies from the property there come into the house, we have a lot more of fly problem now than we ever had in the past," said neighbor Sydney O'Neil.
Coming from the home a foul smell that takes over the street as the wind blows. Neighbors say the renters moved out about three months ago. Tim and Sydney O'Neil say a friend of the previous owner stopped by to check on the place before it went into foreclosure. Inside they found a water leak and, in the garage, a freezer full of rotten meat. "The wall boards that are four feet up are warped, there's mold all over the place, there are mold spores growing up out of the carpeting and the smell - you smelled it yourself - is terrible," said Tim O'Neil.
