Leavenworth, Kan. —

A strain of mold appears to have resurfaced at the Leavenworth County Courthouse, a public works official said Monday.

Buildings and Grounds Director John Forslund said the problem was discovered when the county’s emergency management staff earlier this month reported breathing problems after spending time in the courthouse’s emergency management department. He said an assessment of the situation by Olathe, Kan., based company Air Quality Assessment, Inc. showed that mold spores had in fact once again been detected in the emergency management director’s office.
