Long used to sniff out everything from bombs to drugs to missing persons, dogs are now being trained to detect potentially lethal mold in homes, offices and classrooms.

1-800-GOT-MOLD? is the nation’s first franchise operation to recruit trained dogs to pinpoint the location of mold in buildings, preventing possible health dangers. The appropriately named Mold Dogs (TM) can locate the source of mold growth, even in its early stages.

Company founder Jason Earle realized that the traditional mold detection method--the air sampling commonly used by mold inspectors--failed to locate the source of the problem, which is the key factor in remediation.
