Betty and Lawrence Lynch say the closet in the bedroom of their Spartanburg home is usually covered with mold.
"It would just eat up, and smell, and get all over the clothes," said Mr. Lynch.
On Friday the Spartanburg Housing Authority cleaned the mold. The Lynchs say they had been asking for that to be done for at least a year. They claim it never would have happened without 7 On Your Side.
"It's been very frustrating when you need something done and no one responds to you," said Mrs. Lynch.
We took their concerns to the Spartanburg Housing Authority's Director of Housing Operations, Carolyn Rhodus. Rhodus told us their records show they haven't had a complaint from Betty Lynch since August of 2009.
The Lynchs disagree. That's why Rhodus said she will talk to them more about who they called and when.
