LAKEVILLE — The Board of Selectmen met with Building Commissioner Robert Iafrate and several seasonal homeowners who are still trying to repair their properties from flood damage caused by the spring flood, trying to find ways to help ease the burden of the repairs. What they found is that some residents are running into more problems than they anticipated.

"There's several dozen people fixing their homes still, from the flood repairs," Mr. Iafrate said. "A lot of people who are seasonal homeowners, or are just here for the summer, are underway or are just completing their repairs. Every time I've been out to talk to them they've told me they're getting no help from FEMA, they've asked. A lot of these people are just taking the money out of their pocket and doing the repairs themselves."
