AUGUSTA, Ga. - Augusta-Richmond County Commissioners say it will be at least a year before Law Enforcement Center employees move into a new building. NBC Augusta 26 News has learned many Sheriff's Office employees are concerned about staying in a building plagued with mold.

A study conducted almost six years ago showed 17 different types of mold growing inside the LEC. Doctors say the fungi could be harmful to some employees.

The study found four different types of Aspergillus fungus growing within the walls of the LEC. Doctors say that type of mold could cause problems for employees.
