Repairs weren't started until nearly two months after a fire sprinkler malfunction flooded Century High School in Rochester, contributing to mold damage that will cost more than $60,000 to repair.

More could have been done sooner to prevent the mold from becoming such a problem, according to Jim Kelly, the Rochester school district's coordinator of design and construction services.
