Liverpool, N.Y. -- Mold has been found in the exterior walls of two rooms at Long Branch Elementary School, and the Liverpool School District superintendent is promising to get it fixed as soon as possible.
"This is something we have to get straightened out right away, and we will," said Richard Johns.
The elementary school has eight classrooms with attached toilet rooms, and the mold appears to have been caused by water leaking from the roofs of the rooms, Johns said. While the roof of the main building was replaced eight years ago, the roofs of the eight toilet rooms haven't been replaced since the school opened about 40 years ago, he said.
