After successful public campaign to keep Rockingham Community Action's Head Start program in Newmarket, another obstacle has hit the preschool program.

Mold was discovered last week in two rooms of the Newmarket Community Center, which are used by the Head Start program.

Thomas Nelson, executive administrator for Rockingham Community Action, said the discovery will delay the opening of the school year. However, Nelson said services will still be provided to the 18 students on a home-based level, which means Head Start educators will work with children and their parents in their homes.
