School officials in Linn-Mar went ahead with class at Excelsior Middle School Wednesday, despite mold in six classrooms. The students that were using those rooms have moved.

Mold problems delayed the 2010 school year in the Iowa City School District as well.
Regina Schools sent a letter to parents in the district after they found high levels of non-toxic mold spores spreading rapidly through the elementary.

Students were supposed to start this week but won't begin classes until Monday.

West Branch Middle School is the third in our area to discover mold creeping in its classrooms.
