There hasn’t been mold inside the lower-level classrooms at Hollis Upper Elementary School since earlier this year, allowing students and teachers to return to classrooms they were forced to vacate last fall.
But the finishing touches to the restoration, including the installation of an industrial-sized dehumidifier, didn’t begin until last week.
“I was happy to see that they’re getting started,” said HUES Principal Candace Fowler after she signed in and donned a hard hat before touring the site Wednesday morning. “I was glad to see that they started promptly. I’m thrilled about that.”
