A high school in Gaston County opened for the school year Wednesday despite the presence of mold in five classrooms.

Ashbrook High School officials said test results received Tuesday showed that mold is still present, despite two rounds of cleaning. The affected classrooms will be closed, they said, and students will be shifted to other rooms.
