WINSTED — Hinsdale Elementary School’s mold-related problems are on the way out, for the time being.
Superintendent of schools Thomas Danehy confirmed that installation of the new gymnasium floor started Tuesday. The gym was the hardest-hit area in the recent mold outbreak, which happened in the wake of Hurricane Irene.
While replacing the floor is admittedly a temporary fix, it could be a sign that Hinsdale’s air quality is improving enough that some parents could bring their children back to the school.
