However, tiny leaks can soon turn into a very expensive problem for owners who didn’t expect to need repairs so soon.
In 2009, Global News exposed a growing number of mouldy homes caused by leaks in Calgary.
Experts warned, until the province forces every builder to higher their standards, consumers would be left vulnerable.
Today, a follow-up investigation reveals the situation has not improved.
